Once again Urban Ark – Manawa Taiao will be having a stall at the Sandringham Street Festival in Sandringham Village supporting our local groups:

• Pest Free Sandringham
• Pest Free Balmoral
• Pest Free Mt Eden

If you’re not trapping get a free rat trap (as long as you live in the Urban Ark area (Waterview to Parnell and Westmere to Lynfield). We also have loaner possum traps.

If you’re already trapping, come and grab some fresh supplies and talk trapping techniques.

If controlling pest plants is more your thing we can provide weed guides and give you tips.

We’ll also be promoting community flood resilience. Come along and learn more about your local waterways and flood systems, as well as the role native biodiversity can play in reducing the impacts of flooding. We’ll help you check out the Auckland Council Flood Viewer and advise on how you can be better prepared next time the big rains come.

We’ll be next to the Womenzshed woodworking tent where they’ll be building rat tunnels.
