Hey, it’s Waitangi Weekend. We’ve changed our traditional Second Sunday Weeders weeding day this month to the third Sunday. Check it out here.

Group: Pest Free Pt Chevalier

Becasue of Waitangi weekend we’ve shifted our Second Sunday Weeders session to the third Sunday this month. Join us for one of our regular weeding sessions somewhere around Pt Chev. We don’t always go to the same spot, but move around the Chev to wherever the weeds are weediest. Likely regular spots include:

• Eric Armishaw Reserve meet by the playground
• Walmer Reserve meet beside Moa Rd between #74 and #80
• Pasadena Reserve west meet at the bottom of the steps which lead down from 41 Premier Ave
• Pasadena Reserve east meet on the grass at 136 Motions Rd, by the Pasadena Reserve footbridge

Bring your favourite gardening gloves and secateurs if you have them, but we’ll also have spare gear you can borrow. And if you don’t have two hours to spare, but drop in for as long as you can manage.

Join us at the first Mt Albert Community Pop Up of the year. We’ll be there promoting native bioidiverisity and community flood resilience.

If you’re not trapping get a free rat trap (as long as you live in the Urban Ark area (Waterview to Parnell and Westmere to Lynfield). We also have loaner possum traps.

If you’re already trapping, come and grab some fresh supplies and talk trapping techniques
