We’ve teamed up with Earth Action Trust to run a rubbish clean up and weeding bee at Warren Freer Park in Sandringham. The broad aim is to support migrant communities to care for our local spaces and at this specific location we’ll be removing pest plants to prepare the site for a native planting event on 02 May. The activities will be split on the day based on age and ability and we’ll provide info and guidance about how to recognise and deal with pest plants. The event will be fun and social and a great way to give back to nature, so do come along. Refreshments provided.

Where: 19 Watson Ave, Sandringham
Meet at the Mt Albert library (we’ll walk over to the park from there)

What to bring: Hat, water, sturdy footwear/boots, cold/wet weather gear, sunscreen.
