Saturday 20 April 2024, 10:00am

If you live in the inner west of Auckland and would like to join your local predator free group, drop by the Urban Ark stall at Mt Eden Village Centre any time between 10.00am -12.00 on 20th April and pick up a free rat trap. Each trap comes with a wooden safety box to protect the paws of curious kids and pets and the team will show you how to use it safely and effectively. Possum traps are also available as loan items.

If you live in the area around Maungawhau / Mt Eden we are particularly keen to welcome you to join the Maungawhau Ecological Halo, a buffer zone to protect and enhance the diversity of native bird and plant life around the maunga. Already trapping but not having success? Drop in and get some tips from the experts to boost your confidence!
