Second Sunday Weeders 2027

Sunday 14 February 2027, 9:00am - 11:00am

facebook_event_banner_templates_1.0x260.jpgJoin Pt Chev’s Second Sunday Weeders for a habitat restoration session – yes, that’s a weeding bee.

Throughout the year we meet once a month at a site in or around Pt Chevalier for a couple of hours of good company and fulfiling activity. Controlling weeds gives our regenerating ngahere a chance to thrive, providing quality habitat for our native species.

  • Bring your favourite gardening gloves and secateurs if you have them, but we’ll also have spare gear you can borrow.
  • Come once, or every month: if you don’t have two hours to spare, just drop in for as long as you can manage.
  • Sometimes there is cake, often there is good chat, and always there are weeds to pull.
