This month, Pt Chev’s Second Sunday Weeders will be be neither weeding nor on the second Sunday of the month. With Matariki falling on the second Sunday we’ve decided to push the session out to the following Sunday (19 July). We’ll also take the opportunity to do a little planting. As part of the ongoing restoration of the site we’ve got some plants to get in the ground. We’d welcome some assistance with that. If you can’t bear a Sunday without weeding, I reckon we can find some weeds for you to pull.

• Meet at the motorway end of the car park at the Waiōrea Community Recycling Centre, 990 Gt North Rd. The centre will open so if you’re driving please park outside the Community Garden Hall, 956 Gt North Rd. for details see here.
• Bring your favourite gardening gloves and secatuers if you have them, but we’ll also have spare gear you can borrow.
• If you don’t have two hours to spare, but drop in for as long as you can manage.

Sometimes there is cake, often there is good chat, and always there are weeds to pull.
