Roy Clements Treeway Weeding bee

Saturday 12 September 2026, 10:00am - 12:00pm

We’re teaming up with STEPS (St Lukes Environmental Protection Society) who have transformed the Roy Clements Treeway from grass into a native wildlife haven hidden between shops, schools and housing in St Lukes!

We will be helping them with a weeding bee to keep on top of nasty weeds who are causing problems for the native trees and plants throughout the reserve. We’d love you to join us! Come explore this little slice of beauty in St Lukes, meet some locals and learn about its transformation…

Don’t worry if you’re a newbie, we’ll have experts on hand to teach you how to tell your ecological weeds from your natives. We’re into learning together.

Please register for this event so we know how much gear and catering to bring.

Meet: By the entrance to Kerr-Taylor Park, 35 Fergusson Avenue, Sandringham, Auckland 1025.

Urban Ark will provide:

-Tools and gloves (but feel free to bring your own).

-Refreshments when the mahi is done.

This project is generously supported by Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters Team.
