Landscapes

Many of the groups Urban Ark – Manawa Taiao supports are chipping away at the plague of invasive predators by encouraging residents to trap in their back gardens or weed and plant in their local reserves.

That is all admirable work, but sometimes it is good to step back and look at the wider picture and how it impacts wider landscapes and habitats. Here are a few in our neighbourhood.

  • The maunga
  • Waitītiko / Meola Creek
  • Te Auaunga / Oakley Creek
  • Rock forests
