CVNZ Planting Days: Atiu Creek Regional Park
Get out of the city this winter and join us at the stunning Atiu Creek Regional Park on one of our upcoming community planting days. This is a stunning coastal area that is now under intensive regeneration. Conservation Volunteers has made a commitment to plant 30,000 trees here this winter to help restore this park back to native bush and achieve our aims of turning this area into a predator free peninsula. We would love for you to come out and escape from the city for the day to help restore this beautiful site by planting hundreds of native trees and shrubs along the gully to filter contaminants before they reach the waterway and provide important shade and habitat for native fauna.
We will provide transportation to a limit number of volunteers, please book a seat if you need to. We will also provide a BBQ for the volunteers on site.
The CPD at Atiu Creek is a day project that will run approximately from 10am to 2.30pm, with transportation from/to our office in Eden Terrace 8am to 4pm.
